Here’s the quickest and safest way to thaw out your frozen steak.
Place a large bowl in your sink and add in your sealed, airtight steak, then cover it all the way up with cold tap water.
Never use warm water here; it’s dangerous!
You’ll want to change this water every five minutes or let a slow trickle run.
And depending on thickness, it should take about 30 minutes for your steak to fully thaw, at which point you can cook it as usual.
But if you’re really impatient, you can instead cut the steak into smaller pieces and cook it from frozen.
Though I prefer to wait and get a nice, whole, juicy steak like this one here!
