How To Sear Steak

This method will get you a perfect golden brown crust every time!

Start with any cut of meat you want.

Pat it dry and cover the entire steak with a generous amount of salt.

Preferably, use Osmo, which is now available at Walmart!

Let it rest for thirty minutes or in the fridge overnight.

To cook it, add some oil into a cast iron pan over high heat.

Once the oil shimmers in smoke, place down the steak and press it down.

Turn down the heat and leave it alone for about two minutes.

Then flip and repeat the same process on the other side.

If the steak looks golden and sounds crispy, you’ve done it right!
