Here’s the easiest way to open a pomegranate.
Start by trimming around the top with a sharp knife to remove the lid.
Next find the four white lines on the top of the open pomegranate.
Use your knife to follow each of the lines down the side of the pomegranate.
Once you do this almost all the way to the bottom you can split it open like a flower.
To remove the seeds, first fill a bowl about halfway up with water.
Then, carefully cradle the pomegranate upside down in one hand above the bowl.
Use the other hand to whack the back of the pomegranate with a wooden spoon.
Once the seeds have all fallen out, finish by removing those floating white parts.
You’ll be left with perfect seeds.
