This is the best way to cut a pineapple.
Start by chopping off the crown and base.
Fun fact: you can use this part to grow a new pineapple, but it takes two to three years to get to this point here, so I really don’t recommend it.
And then, follow the curve of the fruit with your knife to remove all the skin. Ideally, without trimming off too much of the yellow part.
As for the eyes, you’ll notice they go in these diagonal rows that spiral around the fruit.
So, one option is to slice them with your knife at a 45° angle on either side to remove them in nice, clean strips. And the result does look pretty nice, but alternatively, you can just use a vegetable peeler.
Remove the core by making two cuts to quarter it, then laying each piece down and trimming off the core with one angled cut along the inner edge.
Personally, I love the core. It may actually be my favorite part of the pineapple.
And that’s pretty much it. Slice everything up however you want, and enjoy.
